  • Hi

That's great to read you've finished your radiotherapy but not so good that you had an infection.

I didn't have to have further medication after radiotherapy, so can't help with your question of what happens now, but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.

While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Hi Cornflakes

    Thank you for your post.

It sounds like you've done it, had the immediate treatment and are a bit further along. I'm sorry to hear about your infection.  It's so unfortunate that complications can spring up during our treatment and sometimes put a spanner in the works.

I developed a chemo induced blood clot on the lung on the day before my final round, like you said, more meds!

Have you had an oncology appointment since you received your genetic testing result?  Hopefully, that will clear up some of your questions about any ongoing treatment.

I encourage you to keep in touch here. I have found it a very supportive space.

Take really good care. Sending g all the hugs. Shaka
