I had surgery & radiotherapy 1 year ago. I was already immunocompromised from RA drugs but I’m thinking the radio has set me back a bit ( although I also took AIs for 6 months. )I’ve felt sluggish probably most of the last year but I put it down to general post treatment fatigue. But now I’ve developed a nasty rash on my forehead that pharmacist thought was impetigo, Spanish Dr thought was an infected cut and my own GP thinks may be bacterial cellulitis. 2 courses of ABs later, I’m questioning shingles- my 3 grandkids had chickenpox over Christmas. Although I’ve had shingles 12 yrs ago AND I’ve had the vaccine, I am becoming more convinced. I have a follow up telephone consultation with my GP tomorrow. I’m not sure he was totally in tune with my cancer treatment & Im at the stage where I don’t offer up this information if I don’t think it’s relevant, but thought I’d pop on here & see whether anyone else has experienced similar infections. It could also be the winter blues of course, this is not my favourite time of year.
Hi there, I'm one of the community champions on this group and I just noticed your post hasn’t had any replies, as the site is quite busy. Whilst unfortunately I don't have the experience to help you myself, my response will bump you back to the top of the forum and I am sure someone with the right experience will be along soon. Best wishes with your GP appointment
