  • Hi   , sorry to hear that you’re going through this uncertainty. I haven’t been in your situation but have seen similar posts so I’m sure someone will pop in with their experience. Hope your results are as good as possible. Love and hugs, HFxx

  • Hi everyone

I went to get my results yesterday at the respiratory clinic and it's not so good ,they have found nodules both on my lungs and liver,I have to go back for a biopsy at some point this week which I am terrified. Has anyone been in a similar position. I know it not be curable but people tell me it's manageable these days. It's a horrible situation to be in ,I never thought that my breast cancer would come back after all it was only stage 1 breast cancer how wrong I was. Can anyone please give me some advice.

    Love Talbot xx

  • Mine has just ‘come back’ after 15 years - although I guess it was there all along. It is a lot to take in, but even in less than two months since diagnosed I  am beginning to adjust to the ‘new normal’, slowly. The good news is that treatments are improving all the time so there is much room for hope. I had a fortnight in hospital (admitted as an emergency after an MRI for worsening back pain), had pretty swift radiotherapy which has improved things a lot and am now on hormone and targeted treatment. I used my fortnight in hospital to get my affairs in order - that’s just me! I have confided in close family and a small handful of friends and will attend a support group for the first time this week. There are little ways in which you can take back a bit of control - you will work out what those are for you, I’m sure. Best wishes to you, you are definitely not alone.
