Hi Everyone
I was wondering what foods was everyone's go to during chemo plans.its my 2nd cycle of EC tomorrow.
The 1st cycle, my appetite hit rock bottom. The nausea and fatigue knocked me on my butt!!
I found nibbling on ginger biscuits helped after being recommended by my MIL. Also sipping on ginger ale and fruit juice.
Foods I loved before made me want to vomit. Hubby opened a packet of extra spicy Doritos and they were the best taste. I normally couldn't stand any form of spice. I was a korma girl!!
I also loved sweets and chocolate but now they hold no interest for me
Hi....I tried to stay away from the things I really loved because somebody told me I would be put off them...I have tried a few things eg chocolate but like you it's just not the same so I've stayed away from it...I was told by somebody on here to try fresh pineapple which made me cry it was so good after everything tasting horrid...I also really liked very cold things like ice pops and rocket lollies...lots of crushed ice in my water as normal water wasn't good..I liked the texture of cottage cheese and crackers in my mouth aswell..
Hi
Thankyou for replying and sharing your experiences. I was told that strawberry ice-cream is good.
I like to nibble on dried fruit, fresh fruit like grapes, dates. Also carrot and cucumber with a pot of sauce or hummus. These are all foods I didn't like before.
I haven't experienced the metallic taste yet that was mentioned.
Thankyou again. I might pop to Iceland and get some ice lollies x
