I had a double mastectomy months ago and I still have discomfort, tightness and a heavy feeling. Does anyone have any advice as I can't sleep due to not being able to get comfortable. Is thus common after 6 months.
Hi Margaret123 , sorry you’re having sleeping issues, it’s so wearing. I ‘only’ had a lumpectomy and sentinel node sampling, but did find it hard to find comfortable sleeping positions for many months after my op. I’m usually a side sleeper but couldn’t do that till around a year after! I had to learn to sleep on my back. I used pillows in various places to get comfortable. One to put my left arm on (op side) as I wasn’t comfy with it flat by my side. Another under my knees otherwise my heels got sore! And an extra one under my head. I was so glad to get back to side sleeping eventually. Hopefully others will have tips too. Love and hugs, HFxx
