Hi there,
I’m wondering if anyone has any similar experiences or advice/info…
I saw the GP about 2 months ago with a new breast lump who referred me to the one stop breast clinic where a mammogram showed the lump (as others) as benign. They then called me back for a mammo under magnification and were concerned about a cluster of microcalcifications which I was then referred for a vaccum biopsy about a month ago.
The results came back last week and they said they are happy it’s not an invasive cancer but the cells were abnormal (a 3 on the scale, whatever that means!). They’ve recalled me for another biopsy on the 23rd but wouldn’t be drawn (understandably!) on what they’re thinking it might be.
I’ve a strong family history of breast cancer and other cancers and so the wait is making me really anxious, although I know how very very lucky I am to know it’s not an invasive cancer.
I just feel a bit puzzled by the whole thing and wondered if anyone else had been through anything similar?
Thank you ️
