Hello All,
Hope everyone had a nice Easter.
I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same or has any advise.
I was diagnosed last March, I've just finished all treatment, operation, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
However, for the last 4-5 months I have been in extreme pain in my legs, lower back, knees and hips, especially at night! I told my oncologist as I'm aware some chemotherapy drugs can cause joint pain. ( my chemo drugs were EC & Docetaxel. I had my last infusion end of October last year.
The oncologist sent to for a bone scan 2 weeks ago. I'm still waiting for the results, but as it's been two weeks I'm guessing, hoping, the bone scan hasn't shown anything sinister.
Has anyone experienced anything like this, or have advise on why this might be happening?
Just thought I would as here before I investigate further with a call to the oncologist as it is really effecting my sleep.
Any advise or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you x
Hi
I had the same treatment as you and I’m the same really stiff in all joints . I was having a total knee last April but got breast cancer in March so that put paid to that . I find my legs hurt in general hips , knees and lower back . I haven’t had to take any painkillers so I’m hoping it’s just from the treatment .
Hope your bone scan is ok , I will report to oncologist if it carries on .
Thank you for your reply. We do sound very similar.
Hopefully just side effect from treatment, and all will turn out OK. X
