Hi I had mastectomy 2 year ago and did buy bras with pocket for prosthesis which are not cheap and do use them
After my first bout of breast cancer 14 year ago when I had skin sparing masectomy I bought lots of pretty underwear, probably to help me still feel feminine. Anyway this underwear was sitting in a drawer but i can now wear it on occasion as I bought a prosthesis (insert) at M&S and a roll of bust tape and stick the insert to my bra and it works a treat, much cheaper than masectomy bras. I also use one of M&S inserts in my post masectomy swim costume, much lighter than silicone prosthesis.
Hi 2nd time around welcome to the forum Thank you for sharing this and how you managed this aspect of having had a Mastectomy. It is an area and question that keeps being asked so any ideas on how to improve how we look and feel are most welcome so thank you.
