I have two cancerous lumps in my breast.  Consultant says I need a CT scan as my results weren’t typical of breast cancer, so checking incase it’s from somewhere else.  She thinks it’s highly unlikely, has anyone else experienced this situation.  I can deal with the breast cancer but I’m terrified it’s somewhere else too x

  • Hi Jax55

Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer.  While I haven't experienced your situation I thought I'd reply to you anyway to welcome you to the community. However I  did have a CT Scan as there was cancer in one of my lymph nodes and I got the all clear.

Wishing you the best of luck with your CT Scan and hopefully they won't find anything suspicious.

    Best wishes

  • Hi Daisy

Thank you so much for your reply and I’m so glad you got the all clear x

  • Hi jax55, I had a similar experience I was told my cells.didnt look like typical breast cancer cells and the consultant began to check.my neck glands etc saying it could also possibly be salivary gland cancer in my neck !  This left me terrified for 2 days until my MRI results came through and I was so relieved to hear it was breast cancer. I have a rare Tnbc which is a salivary gland type in the breast. I have had a masectomy with reconstruction 2 weeks ago and back on Monday to find out the next steps. I hope.this helps a little , sending lots of love x

  • I had 2 lumps, diagnosed 2 weeks and 3 days ago. Mastectomy yesterday great up to now.

Your worry is natural. Im still scared but a lot of calming meditation videos lying on my bed helped a bit to calm and my breast care nurses helped and GP with sleeping tablets (i was only sleeping 2 hours a day, im up to 6 now) and working/being busy helped me cope. Also reminding myself they are the experts, they see thousands, they check everything, they often check 'in case' not only 'because' of something.

Hope the ct is soon for you x
