I started Letrozole 6 days ago. 1 day later I was completely floored by a headache & nausea. I had thought any side effects would take longer. Paracetamol didn’t help one bit, eventually I resorted to dihydrocodeine prescribed for my Rh arthritis ( which I rearely need as I control it with other meds). However, my Rh meds have been paused until after surgery. Anyway, this blasted headache kept me awake all night but it eased a little the day after. But again, not much sleep. Yesterday, BAM the headache came back after yet another sleepless night. I resorted to Melatonin last night & woke up with just a “ muzzy” head. I don’t really want to be taking pain relief if there is anything else I can use ( wondered whether 4 head is any good. How do others deal with this?
I did speak to my nurse, she did say that was an option but that it’s still early days. TBH, I’d rather stick with Letrozole unless it becomes unbearable. I’m struggling without my Rh meds right now & surgery in 10 days , then radiation. I don’t want to complicate things further by swapping when there’s no guarantee that I won’t get same or different side effects. It’s a bumpy ride isn’t it?
