This may seem a trivial problem, but .... I've recently finished chemo & radiotherapy & my hair is starting to grow back, but I've now got dandruff. My hairdresser says over the counter dandruff shampoos are too strong for new hair growth & suggested I see my GP - which means hanging on the phone for what seems like forever, only to be told that all appointments are gone! Can anyone help with recommendations please!
Hi Lou Bear
Just a thought but what about asking a pharmacist? I wonder if they could recommend something mild that you can get over the counter. I do agree with your hairdresser though- I would suggest GP- or if it is difficult , perhaps an online consultation.

lou bear if its dry skin because of chemo you could try massaging jojoba in, i have been using it all through chemo as they say it is close to natural sebum and its not really oily, i bought an organic one. if you have hair you may need to wash hair after but could let it sit for a bit
Hi Lou Bear mine got dry too so I used head & shoulders bare which doesn’t have chemicals. My hairdresser also recommended rubbing oil into my scalp the night before I’m going to wash it - any oil is fine (coconut smells lovely) but just makes your hair look really greasy!
