Im new to all this, if you are awake then I'm awake from 1am until morning at the moment. Finding the nothingness at night and anxiety hard. Im asking the GP for help today.
Hi - Sorry to hear you are struggling with your sleep. As I’m having chemo sessions they’ve given me steroids which effect my sleep patterns - I find watching a boxset episode on my iPad for an hr helps me drift back to sleep - others read a chapter from a book or spray some lavender on your pillowcase (I find that calming too) x
Tried lavender body cream last night but will get a spray thanks. I've had a few light sleeping tablets to try from the GP today. Im trying to read but concentration due to no sleep has meant rereading same 3 pages over and over I'll try a film on amazon on my phone possibly if awake tonight - thanks for the tip. Any good things you've watched Joules 52?
yes never suffer or power through your symptoms, and as joules says watching things or listeningto books can help calm. the mind, or rather distract. i downloaded a library app and put on books to listento when i go to bed
welcome newbie sorry you are here hugs
Hi,.
I've not slept for more than 3 hours a night since I was told my diagnosis 4 weeks ago.
Can't nap in the day either (have the opportunity but can't switch off).
It's a nightmare, I've tried melatonin and now have a small amount of zopiclone from my GP. He was reluctant to prescribe it and very heavy handed on warnings about it.
Tried the sleepio app (CBT) with no joy.
I'm sorry I don't have any answers but huge sympathy.
