hello j had my diagnoses on 4th aug tumour removed from breadt 17th aug jow heading for radiation on thur so nervous and anxious anyone help ? x
Hi Shomilly
I am guessing that you are ER+, based on what you are saying (not having mentioned chemo.)? I was ER+ and had operation to remove the tumor and then radio. To be honest, I know I was nervous, but it was actually ok. You lie there after they have positioned you and don't really feel anything it just beeps around you.
The main pieces of advice I would give is (a) use a cooling gel - aloe vera gel from any chemist/ Holland and Barrett to ensure it's moisturised. The gel is better than cream. (b) the really important one - drink lots and lots!! I went at the same time as 3 other ladies and 2 of us drank lots and were ok, the other 2 didn't drink much and suffered really badly with fatigue.
Don't worry too much as it's a lot better than what you imagine.
Kindest wishes, Lesley
Thanks so much for all that advice x yes im ER poitive just the thought bejng away from fam 4 hours tonmy hospital
