sorry am new to all this so million questions, I am sure you have all been in same situation at some point Slight smile

I have Fybromyalgia and IBS and several annoying conditions that stem from it all, as well as Breast Cancer ER-positive. Is there anyone else who has this combination? I would like to ask a few questions regarding treatment effect? wether it increased Fybro symptoms or IBS.

I actually went 2 years before getting diagnosed as the Fybro etc symptoms caused similar problems, my tumour happily grew  as I put it down to costro side of Fybromyalgia. So will be going on Fybro sites to give a warning to not be complacent and put it all down to Fybro,

  • Hi

My story on profile if you wish to read just click on name

sorry you find yourself here but best place to be for advice . Hopefully you’ll get some posts from fellow sufferers of your conditions .

I wanted to add that I have Diverticular disease mistaken for IBS as same sort of symptoms this led to a bowel resection years ago ( no bag )

After my MX in 2019 when I discussed treatment plan with oncologist bowel problems were mentioned .Oncologist immediately changed plan so that I didn’t have Docetaxel chemo as it can have bad affect on bowel .
Consequently although Chemo not easy I wasn’t having to cope with  aggravated  bowel issues in fact . In actual fact chemo seems to have settled some of the symptoms.

Worth discussing fully with onco the affect on bowel . There are so many combinations they will spend time finding what suits you best

    best wishes

  • Definitely talk to your oncologist re bowel condition. I had constipation throughout my chemo which I had to take laxatives for.
