Anti depressants

I'm on antidepressants as well.  I'm taking 90mg of Duloxetine which I find very good.

I finally decided to start taking them due to virtually zero other help with medical menopause symptoms. I was still feeling down, angry, weepy etc about 2 years into being on zoladex and exemestane. I just didn't feel like me, so went to the doctor and got fluoxetine. I only take the lowest dose, but it is enough to take the edge off and I feel at least more like myself in mood, even if everything else is the new me!

I’m glad fluoxetine had helped you , like you say there’s pretty much nothing else to help is there . Being plunged into the menopause is no joke 

My onco is saying no to fluoxetine but I don’t know why , tbh I was too tired to ask ! 
Feeling more like yourself mentally is so important I think

I know you can't take Fluoxetine if you are on Tamoxifen, but it is OK with AIs & zoladex, which is what I'm on. So maybe it interferes with what you are on.

Yes I’m guessing it must do unless she just thought others would be better for me personally

1. I was already on antidepressants before my breast cancer. I take citalopram and Mirtrazapine. I take Letrozole and have Solodex injected once a month. I haven't been told to change them although my mirtrazapine has been increased between my 1st appointment (mammogram & ultrasound & biopsy taken) & getting the biopsy results & diagnosis confirmed.
