Hi, I've been taking verzenios 150mg for 6 months now. Bloods have always been good, I've got used to the adhoc dashes to the loo, but gradually my appetite has gotten terrible, to the point I don't know what to eat anymore. There are so many foods I used to enjoy but now I can't stand the taste nor the smell.
This last couple of weeks I've felt really 'off it', and wondered if its the tablets or if its a lergy going round. I work in a college and there's been staff and students off with Covid, and others with diarrhea and sickness.
I thought I'd be more settled after 6 months but now scaring myself that I've got something more seriously wrong with me. Tonight I finally found something I enjoyed for tea - smoked haddock but it seemed to lye heavy, and I've had to dash to the loo, and thrown up too.
My eyes have watered ever since I started taking them, but that's getting worse too.
Hi, sorry to hear that you are struggling, I had a dose reduction at cycle 7 as the side effects were getting worse, I believe it can be as the saturation of the drug is growing in your body. My oncologist agreed a dose reduction
I have been on 100mg twice a day since, but at cycle 14 can still feel that things are a little worse again.
I am looking forward to getting back yo eating normally again, miss so many foods & fed up with diarrhoea & fatigue
Best wishes x
Oh kitty, thank you so much for letting me know, I'm getting myself in such a tizz now because of how I've been feeling.
As always, like many of us do, I seem to be over thinking everything. I'm not going into work today. I've been so busy, so taking some time out. I worked full time through all my treatment, not feeling to bad, but obviously it was brutal, so think I deserve a day off!
Like you, I'm looking forward to being able to eat properly again. This feels so much worse than the chemo and radio!
Thank you again, I really do appreciate your message x
A day off sounds like a good idea, chill out...... I've not returned to work, so I'm impressed you have managed so well
I'm 55 and taken early retirement
I still have days where everything catches up with me, think it's normal, treatment continues which is hard. I'm sat having my 3rd Zoldronic acid infusion lol

Hi Viv
I've had more than a day off, I've not been in all week, but planning on going back on Monday as long as I'm 100%.
I've had the monthly blood test and white blood cells are low, and as you suggested, my body is saturated with the meds. I had a tooth abscess 3 weeks ago too, so had antibioticsand 10 days later had a surgical extraction, having it packed and stitched, and more antibiotics.
I was concerned about the healing because of being on the ibandronic acid, but it seems OK. Being monitored closely by the dentist. Oh, and I'm a bit dehydrated too, so need to drink more. Consultant said its hardly surprising I've been feeling rough.
So, trying to get back to normal now, and rested loads this week.
Thanks for being there viv, hope you're ok. xx
Hi, hope you are doing OK?
Abemaciclib can slow the healing process, so if there is a problem your oncologist could consider a short break. Hopefully your dental problem is healing well now
