We have all heard the same question ,How are you doing with the same auto pilot answer, oh I'm doing ok,before they quickly change subject to the weather or the price of shopping. Personally I wish sometimes they didn't ask especially when I am having a bad day and I have now changed my auto pilot response to, Oh I have good weeks and bad days .Which sometimes causes a few seconds pause from them ,but sometimes brightens my day for a minute. How do you answer your auto pilot questions when you are having a bad day knowing they don't want the truth. Kind regards
I only do ‘auto pilot’ to neighbours and acquaintances. True friends and good family members (hopefully) genuinely want to know BUT unless you’ve ‘been there’ no one can really understand. Some strangers or mere acquaintances can reveal they too have had C which is always a moment of bonding. I wish you well xx
I say, if I’m having a bad day, surviving.
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
