I have been giagnosed for a year now and was devastated when I was told they would not operate. Since then I have a strong feeling of not wanting to go ahead with medication to prolong the inevitable.
Is there anyone else feeling the same?
It must have been difficult to come to terms with the fact that an operation could not be done to remove your cancer.
As you know, the online community is divided up into different support groups so I hope you don't mind me recommending that you also join and post this message in the secondary breast cancer group as you'll then connect directly with others who may have had to make a similar choice to what you're considering.
If you'd like to join the group, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
