I had needle aspiration on Monday on my breast due to fliud/seroma/ necrosis /cellulitis/ infection  these are what the different doctors have said over 3 weeks

Had chemo finished January

Had WLE March

Finished Radiotherapy July

Had nothing but trouble with hardness lump excruciating pain,Had flucloxicillan,A antibiotic beginning with C and now amoxiclav

They drained me Monday,Tuesday I found some of my skin on breast peeling and Wednesday found a blister (water) in the same area...

Has anybody experienced this? What do I do with the blister ?

Any advice at all

Oh and I'm due to go on holiday next week

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your breast after radiotherapy. The only thing I can suggest is that you ring your BCN to ask their advise about the blister.

  • Hi Tweed77

Do you have any updates? I am very interested as I had a mastectomy with temporary expander implant on 6th this month and developed a blister. Complicated diagnosis due to an allergy to all dressing which can also cause me to blister. However, confirmed as an area of skin necrosis today. They needle aspirated 200ml fluid today. 60ml last Thursday. Looks like I'm heading back into theatre to deal with necrosis but very interested what happened with your blister as my consultant isn't sure whether blister caused necrosis or necrosis caused a blister.

    Thanks
