I have recently been diagnosed with grade 3 triple negative breast cancer and had surgery 5 days ago my surgeon opted for breast conservatism as the lymph nodes seem ok although lumpy.I am due to go back next week once the pathology is back to see what the next step/steps are and I am not sure what to expect my husband thinks it will just be a 6-12 month review which I doubt can anyone give me any advice or experiences.Feeling a bit exhausted saying I’m fine to those I love .
Hi Nat
sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with TNBC it’s very scary at first untill you know your treatment plan.
i was diagnosed with grade 3 triple neg in March , had lumpectomy in April and started chemo in June I’m on round 4 of 6 and it’s not too bad. I’m going to have more surgery as they found early cancer on the edge of my wide excision . I Will be having radiotherapy aswell . So I would think you will have similar treatment as triple neg is aggressive and has a high recurrence rate . But is very treatable and curable .
wishing you good luck for your journey stay as positive as you can there are lots of lovely people in here for support .
Take care xx
