Hi
I've been feeling sharp twinges since having my mammogram four days ago & only in the operated breast (lumpectomy May 2021), other breast is completely pain free. I'm pretty sure I did not experience this after last year's mammogram.

Hi Eline
It is pretty normal unfortunately. I'm 6 years post diagnosis and have just had my last annual mammogram. I mentioned that I've been getting sharp pain in my lumpectomy breast. The nurse said 'it's normal as you've had an operation and radiotherapy'. I thought that was a bit odd when she said it 'cause it had only been hurting more in the previous month that much and the operation was 6 years ago! But, I got my letter saying my mammogram was clear a couple of days ago, so I guess she was right - the pain will come and go and different things might trigger it (ie. for you - squashing it in the machine).
Kindest wishes, Lesley
