I’ve been taking Letrozole for 18 months and I’ve just started have leg pain in my muscles and nerve pain on my skin. Does anyone else have these issues?

Yep, loads of aches and pains and if sat down too long knees almost give way!  You did well getting to 18 months, I’ve only been on it for 4 mths. Small price to pay I guess xxx

Don’t take store by what we say.  The possible side effects are listed with the tablets and some people get little or no reaction to the medication. My oncologist told me to see how I go and report after 4 months. SadIy I can deal with the aches etc but vision has been reduced hence got appointment coming up to relook at Letrozole for me. I feel for you not being ready to go back to work..could this help be a distraction in the long run? If you do go back, it may help to walk about every 30 mins or so to prevent aching bones. You may of course not have any symptoms at all!! I wish you well xxx

  • Hi,

I've been on letrozole for about 15 months now and unfortunately have had all sorts of aches and pains, including trigger finger (although I was ok for about the first 4 months).  I've tried different brands which seem to have different side effects.  I've now found one (CIPLA) which doesn't seem to give me the bone pain but is affecting my mood and energy levels.  I'm looking at some natural solutions to try and help.  Has anyone tried With any combination of KSM-66® Ashwagandha, Shatavari & Maca ?   I'm not sure if they're ok for oestrogen positive cancers to take but do say all organic, although also say 'hormone balancing'?!    Any ideas or suggestions welcome?
