Good morning
Yesterday I had been for a mammogram, ultrasound and biopsies and got news that cancer has returned in my right breast, I don't know any more information as I am awaiting a ct scan I had er+ bc in Aug 2020 had lumpectomy , radiotherapy and on tamoxifen. I am In shock and so annoyed at the situation as everything in my life has been going great, I am turning 40 in July and just feel my life has now been put on hold and I just feel so annoyed today.. Sorry as I know people are dealing with alot worse than me. Has anyone experienced this or have any advice or guidance. Thanks
Bless you, I know exactly how you are feeling! I had the same, lumpectomy and radiotherapy in my right breast 25yrs ago, in November last year went for mammogram and ultrasound biopsy, to be told i had a recurrent aggressive form, under went mastectomy, recovering well physically, but still in shock mentally.
Apparently only 10% have a recurrent. If it helps i have just turned 60.
Hugs and best wishes to you.
Thank you for your reply, I'm so sorry to hear your situation esp after 25 years clear, a mascetomy had been mentioned yesterday but I guess it's just a waiting game now to have the ct scan and results xx
During that 25yrs I had several lumps removed, fortunately biegn. Unfortunately i was told i couldn't have radiography again, so mastectomy was the only option. Under going scans and biopsies next week for lumps in left armpit.
try and stay positive.x
