Hello again. I starting chemo in March and had a few questions about the cold cap.
1. I understand if I want to use one I need to buy one. Where do you get it from? Are there different types?
2. Should I get one now or after my appointment with the oncologist? I understand that they only work for certain kind of drugs and not others?
Im a general cultz and not too attached to my appearance but since this thing started I have found little health related things set me off into depression so trying to avoid things that may upset me as much as possible.
PS. Saw the other cold cap topic but didn’t wanna get off topic by posting there :)
Hi Brian69 cold cap is not something you can buy, it’s provided at the chemo unit. It’s a cap attached to a machine to cool the follicles. I would ask your oncologist if you can have it.
it might be that I wouldn’t work for the type of chemo. The below link gives you an idea from the type of chemo if it would work for you

I’ve been using it throughout so any questions, just shout!
Ah, thanks! Will check out and then discuss with the oncologist next week. Appreciated! :)
