Hi all

doesa anyone know where I can get measured for a bra with two different sized boobs please?

  • No but I’ll be watching the replies with interest - bra shopping is next on my list to start feeling more normal but I’m finding the idea terrifying!!

  • I know that you can book a post surgery bra measurement appointment at Marks and Spencer’s and I have heard that the ladies there are very discreet and helpful.
    It’s worth a try x

  • I had a mastectomy and implant.  I was fitted and measured at breast care and bought my bras from there.  I went down a cup size and have to squeeze my remaining breast in as my implant is a lot smaller.  I recently bought some bras in Mark's and Spencer the same size as the ones I bought from the hospital but they were far too big on my implanted boob so I had to take them back which I found very depressing. I find my implanted breast very upsetting and wish maybe I hadn't bothered.  Does anyone else feel like this ?

  • I have the opposite problem as my actual breast is getting a little smaller as time passes. I wonder if you could cut a piece out of your bra cup and then sew it up on the new seam. I use a Damart bra which sort of works for me though it reaches rathre close to my armpit.

  • Hi Jaxs. Although I don't have your issue, I've found Nicola Jane (nicolajane.com) to be extremely helpful on the phone.  May be worth a try

  • Hello. 4 weeks post op and the surgeon removed 1.5kg from my right breat (all cancer removed Confused) but it has left me very wonky! I found the M&S post surgery bra too tight under the arm, however their maternity bras are fab. And most of my friends say you can't really see a difference. I am a size 42H so plenty there.

The care nurse has offered a fitting, but I am a little sore still.

On the bright side, after my 6 months of Chemo, which starts in April, the surgeon will reduce my left breast, so by Xmas I will have a matching pair.

    Stay positive x
