Hiya guys

I’m on seeking wisdom re ANYTHING that you found gave you energy after treatment had ended?  My ten sessions finished 7 weeks and I am EXHAUSTED.  I am back to work and three weeks ago I was swimmPray tone1and walking and full of energy but now … BOOM, I am heavy with fatigue and if you’ve any secret tonics I’d love to hear Pray tone1 Have a great Sunday and take care x

  • Only thing I can recommend is to pace yourself and try and eat as healthily as possible (and drink lots of water!)

    It will pass. Xxx

  • “It will pass” sounds good - thank you x

  • It honestly does. 7 months on post-radiotherapy I'm back up to previous level of fitness, and more :-)

  • Hi, even really short walks might help, my oncologist told me to walk every day, even only 5-10 mins and I have to admit, it always helps me. Best wishes

  • Thank you, I was positively striding a few weeks back but these legs feel like each one is ten stone.  I’ve taken a few days leave to regroup and get a dip in the sea/jumpstart my system x

I feel for anyone going back to work and having to deal with C and the treatments it brings.  I’m nearly 200 yrs old so am a lady of leisure but I do walk regularly with my little dog roughly 5 miles a day (in 2 shifts)! I find it helps with the stiffness of RT/ lymph removal and bone ache. I can only suggest exercise in any way you can..no secret tonics, just every other month no alcohol for me…I wish you well xxx

  • I love this comment, thank you.  Five miles is mega but yours sounds lovely.  Hearing everyone’s coming out the other side is music to my ears and what I needed.  THANK YOU xx

  • Maybe ask for a blood test - I've just had one which showed my iron levels were very low. I'd been struggling with tiredness, feeling dizzy etc and a dry mouth and just assumed they were side effects of anastrozole. Two surgeries last summer plus radiotherapy - so much going on you that you forget to think about whether it might be something else.

  •   thank you, GP said If symptoms persist we can do blood tests…it’ll be grand.  Just hearing that everyone is clawing way back or bouncing in some cases is heartening.  I hope you’re keeping well xx
