Hi,
I just wondered how long you needed to worry about temperatures of chemo has now finished?
Thank you x
Thank you, it’s been 8 weeks since chemo / active treatment finished.
I had surgery in January to have my fallopian tubes and ovaries out. I’m not on herceptin anymore, just a tablet to block hormones. It was 2 years of treatment so it’s probably just long term effect (with everything else!)
I’ve been sick for nearly 24 hours with a temp of 38 I’ll wait and see what it’s like tomorrow. I just didn’t know if there was a set rule on weeks?
thank you for replying x
Definitely see how you are tomorrow, call the emergency line for advice in the morning if you’ve still got that temperature and if it goes up don’t wait until the morning. We are vulnerable still for a while after chemo ends, particularly if you’ve not long had surgery as well. Better to be thought over cautious, which they definitely not think you are being! I hope you’re healing well xx
