Morning all, 8 long days … Woke with sickening headache had terrible dreams (I have a lot of those) and the usual discomfort. I get to see my BS this evening to get these rather special dressings off (I hope). Pica 7 dressings create a vacuum over wounds and have buzzing battery attachments. I have one on each breast for my recent bilateral surgery. They buzz every 20 seconds 24/7. I have about 11 hours to get ready for my appointment. I’m hoping to look reasonable as … hey .. it’s a night out! No shower since 22nd … yeah. No hair wash. Have had a terrible 8 days juggling drugs and coping with pain. TIME. Strange isn’t it. Some of us worry about not having enough of it and some of us just want it to go away so that we can move on to “the next stage”. Well I’ve managed to get rid of 8 days …. No idea what my new look will be when the dressings come off and frankly, I don’t care! All I want after this stage is …. the next one … where I can visualise walking my dog, gaining strength, enjoying the new season. Getting back to Pilates. My current new look … not good … sprouted cold sores. I wonder if the antibiotics gave me those! Oh well this is indeed something to look forward to. Best wishes to Moomy, AWAKE, Anna12345, Irishgirl16 and everyone on this journey. J xxx
Dearest Jgau ,
Wishing you all the very best with your BS ..... hoping you had a good night out and you are ready to move forward.....
Just you keep remembering - you are moving forward, it might seem slow - but you are moving ..... as the season will change so will you -you'll be out walking your dear doggie sooner than you think - just no pulling on the lead.
Sending love and hugs xx
Hello Dicha and WhatHappened, I had the dressings and batteries removed followed by aspiration of both wounds. Then new dressings applied. I hadn’t realised how strong the codeine was. I took less than was prescribed, but had terrible headaches, thirst and tummy probs. Also wish they had told me to try to move my arm more. I’m literally detoxing, still woozy, but I do feel positive. Thank you so very much for asking. My head wants to do little jobs but the poor old body doesn’t. Best wishes, xxx J
