Hello everyone,
I was recently diagnosed with a malignant phyllodes tumour in my left breast and had a mastectomy 6 days later. I am 10 days post op now and I’m starting to process my situation. i am 22 years old and currently a university student - I have withdrawn from this year for now - I have found leaving the fun uni life and friends behind very difficult.
I’m hoping to connect with some people in a similar situation so I can be reassured that all my thoughts and feelings are normal!
Hello EwyBear I’m so sorry that you have had to have a mastectomy at such a young age. You will find people here closer to your age than me. Also there are lots of things which may help you on this site and other centres. Can I suggest you post again “newly diagnosed at 22 years” and maybe you will get responses. I wish you all the best I’m happy to. Imp you back up so that others can get in touch but I’m happy to be here as well. xxx J
Hi there, so sorry to hear about your diagnosis - I hope you get the best possible outcome regarding results. I’m waiting on my final results too, I’m hoping I will be able to relax a little when I get them xx
I've just got an appt to see consultant tomorrow. So nervous and scared what they are going to say
How are you feeling today xx
Oh bless you, I hope it all goes smoothly. I also have some results for tomorrow so I’m also scared and nervous but really trying to relax which is always easier said than done xx
