Hi everybody. Newly diagnosed today, breast cancer with spinal
mets. Heads spinning but determined to get on with this! I was signposted here by somebody on another thread - hoping I can support some of you and in return be told to
belt up on a bad day!!!
Hi, gosh, I am sure your head is spinning and you'll have so much going on, but I truly believe that positivity really helps. This online community is great for support, but I also wanted to let you know that the lovely professionals at Macmillan are also there to help, should you need anything. Here's a link for the contact details and a bunch of other information that I found useful when I was first diagnosed. Best wishes
Thank you for your positive words. I’m trying to think that way - I’m hoping that gets easier with time x
One thing that helped me was writing everything down. I started a blog (there's a place for that here on the website) and it helped me to share my experiences and I know has helped others. In all honesty, it's quite cool now to reread and look back, and I admit there are some things am had forgotten about. Just an idea s sometimes people find it helpful to write things down.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
