I had my first Paclitaxil treatment on Wednesday and since Friday I have been aching really badly. Ibuprofen or paracetamol doesn’t seem to touch the sides. Anybody experienced this and have any tips on what can help? The only thing that seems to ease it is walking which I obviously can’t keep up!
Hi,
I have had 6 paclitaxil so far, which came after 3 ec. I find that I am achy for a few days after the chemo, then it reduces for a few days, until the next one. I am on weekly sessions, so it can feel a bit up and down. My aches have lessened as time has gone on, so not so severe now, I know everybody is different, but hope this is true for you too.
I think if you speak to your oncology team, they might have some ideas to help, I know mine have been really good at managing the side effects really well.
wishing you well for the rest of your treatment, and recovery.
