Also look into whether you are entitled to PIP if under state pension age.  If awarded anyone who provides you with care (physical/emotional) for 35 hours a week and takes home less than £135 a week can claim carers.  Macmillan can provide you with help claiming

Daughter uses ‘Insurancewith’ even while she was told to get her affairs in order she was still touring the world as a musician. They still insured her after her bone marrow transplant when she was touring with Seal, 10 months post transplant, with approval from her team.

You could try StaySure.

I got annual policy with them while still having treatment. There is an extensive online questionnaire and it is obviously important to answer thoroughly and correctly. You may need to ask your GP what to put for some answers (I did, by telephone appt). Ultimately, you may need to speak with them. Don't ask, don't get, so go for it!

we'd booked with Staysure prior to my diagnosis, tried to update details while I was recovering from surgery & they weren't sure they would be able to continue my cover as at that point I didn't know if I was to have further treatment.

I did ask breast care nurse while I was waiting for treatment and she said a lot of her patients have found M&S and Boots very good. I looked at both as a back-up and both would have covered me even if I was going to have further treatment 

As it was I updated details after radiotherapy and it only cost me a further £5.50 with Staysure.
