I had my breast cancer treatment in the UK in Harley St. I thought it was a simple procedure and all looked fine just after. Now I have painful radiated post lumpectomy breast and a very droopy other breast. I have moved from Kenya where I was living for 21 years to the USA. Local oncologist referred me to plastic surgeon. Seems there may be nothing to be done? Anyone else in this sort of situation?
Hi Lorelei
I'm sorry I can't answer your question, but am replying because your query has been pushed back a few pages. My radiated breast is a bit painful and lumpy - it always makes me wonder how I'm supposed to check for new lumps! , but it doesn't really bother me.
I guess there must be something that could be done with your non radiated breast? I guess you could always get a second opion from a different plastic surgeon - Depending whether you got the advice from a UK plastic surgeon or a USA one.
Hopefully by answering, this will get you back to first page and someone in a similar situation may now be able to help
Kindest wishes, Lesley
