Hi Everyone

I thought I would come on and tell you how I’m doing and give hope to others who have just started treatment or are half way through or just finished. I am 2 years post op and nearly 2 years post chemo & radiotherapy. I am back at work have been for a year now I work 4 days 9-5pm fortunately I didn’t suffer from fatigue but have aches from letrozole and pheprial neuropathy on toes and fingers and the hot flushes but they are manageable. I have a post op appointment next Friday for a reduction on my right boob (I am large breasted and it is very noticeable that I’m lopsided) and a piece of skin which they call a dog ear to be flattened. So ladies whatever stage your at in your journey hang on in there it does get better and your life does get back to normal (whatever that is for everyone) This forum was a godsend for information and suggestions when going through treatment. A big shout out to everyone who was on here with me I couldn’t have done it without you. Take care

love

Brilliant news for you going forward! I wish at times I’d had bigger boobs as the one prosthesis I was given is now larger than my other breast! Not their fault! I lost 2 stone during chemo and haven’t out it back on.  I too haven’t suffered as much as some and amazingly you do forget the grot times! I too have finger neuropathy and am on Letrozole but I try to ignore symptoms by walking regularly and briskly when weather//body allows. Thank you for your inspirational update. I now think of what I’ve been through as akin to giving birth! It hurts a lot, it’s bitter/sweet but the rewards (when over and given hopefully a ‘good’ prognosis) are worth the months of treatments! Best wishes to all for a positive start, middle and end of this New Year xxxx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
