I have just come out of my 5yr remission and am sorting travel insurance.
Question - when was last treatment?
Does this mean surgery/radiotheraoy or when I stopped taking anastrazole? Don't want to risk giving wrong answer.
Hi Katehurdle
I will be in a similar position to you soon in that when I've completed radiotherapy, having already had surgery and chemotherapy, I'll be looking for travel insurance. I'm due to start 6-monthly transfusions of zometa for 5 years and I'm not sure whether that's classed as treatment or not.
I think the best thing for both of us to do is to ask the travel insurance company if these drugs are classed as treatment or not.
If you're looking for travel insurance recommendations, then you might want to join the travel insurance group where you'll find recommendations from others who have been successful. Once you've joined look for the thread called 'recommended travel insurance' as this is where the majority of recommendations are.
