since I came home from hospital Thursday followed prescribed pain relief schedule etc but still bad pain between shoulder blades and one part in middle of back. They said could see no cancer in bones so I have to trust them but I am on long term treatment and really had no issues with spine before just my hands and plaquenil worked great . There is a bulge but lumbar and always knew that but never caused any trouble as most ladies have one especially after babies lol . Can’t help worrying that something going on that can’t be seen yet . Anyone deal with this and had success with pain relief . Not a fan of diazapam or strong opioids … taking tramadol plaquenil and diazapam for a week
Yes I’ve had the between the shoulder blades pain - they looked a lot at the scan but decided it wasn’t cancer. I use a heated pad in the microwave to relieve it then decided to ask for physio through my GP which really helped. She prescribed monthly sessions for 6 months and it got my upper back mobile and helped me learn how to stretch that bit of the upper spine. Then we moved onto strengthening exercises which make me ache but in a healthy way… Could you ask about physio? It also helped when I got my weighted prosthesis (I had a single mastectomy) and I started making a real effort to stand, sit and move straight instead of hunch round my poor missing boob and scar… but every ache or pain I think cancer too - it’s part of the horrible package deal we get… I hope you can find some relief.
I was in bad pain at infusion today so they changed meds a bit … pergablun? But I’m scared of it as don’t like opioids around kids so going to take at bed time they upped the tramadol dose as well but definetly going to look into physio as I’m a naturally active person and was blown away as to how bad the pain got in such a quick time . I have to get a handle on it as on treatment for life so … I intend to be around a long time yet lol. Thank you for advice hope u get more pain free days … my only Christmas preasant from Santa x
Check out “the breast cancer physio” on YouTube - the woman that runs them explains stuff really well … “My top 5 stretches after breast surgery” is a good place to start if you are waiting to see someone face to face
