I’ve been on anastrozole for nearly two years and I’ve started having a swollen knee repeatedly. It knocks me off my feet and started about 6 months ago. I’ve had arthritis for years but I would have thought degeneration problems would’ve got worse gradually. Each episode comes on suddenly, without any trauma or warning in a matter of about an hour and my knee swells to twice it’s size. I know that joint problems may be a side effect of taking anastrozole but wondered would it come on after so long and has anyone else has noticed anything similar or is it just my arthritis suddenly going mental? It really is life inhibiting.
I've been on exemestane for a year and a half and started getting skin issues a few months ago which can be a side effect, so I do think they can probably come on after some time.
Thanks for that. I guess it’s really difficult to know isn’t it. Hope you manage to get on top of your skin problems. Not much fun is it? Xx
