Hi as anyone found a reasonable price for travel insurance. I have tried the comparison sites but just coming up with ridiculous figures .
Many thanks
Hi Anneannie
Unfortunately, as you have found, it can be more difficult to get reasonably priced travel insurance when you've been diagnosed with cancer.
As the online community is divided up into different support groups I'm going to recommend that you join us over in the travel insurance group which is a great place to look for recommendations. Once you've joined look for the thread called 'recommended travel insurance' as that's where you'll find the majority of recommendations all in one place.
To join the group just click on the link I've created and if you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
Most people find that it's best to phone the insurance companies rather than try and do online quotes as often at the end of the online quote it will tell you to phone the company and you'll then have to go through all the information again. Also sometimes the broker can refer to the underwriters to see if they would provide cover when an online quote might just give you a straight refusal.
I hope this helps

Hi there, I think that it depends. I went abroad 2 months after chemo ( stage 2, letrozole and 1 positive node) and it was £15 for 4 days. I'm off tomorrow and it's under £10 for 5 days just over 3 years later. The meerkat one. Also remember that in Europe you're EHIC is good. I stabbed myself with a cake infused cocktail stick last summer and within 20 minutes had an antibiotic cream and capsules for under 6 euros! Waaaaay better than in the UK. X
I have recently booked a UK holiday and found All Clear very helpful. I have a lot of other problems besides cancer. I found them very pleasant and helpful. I have been very upset by some companies’ attitudes in the past. Enjoy your holiday .
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Daughter is the one who has travelled widely (worldwide, work as well as leisure) with and after a blood cancer, after a few companies she always stuck with ‘Insurancewith’ as they were cheap, reliable and paid out promptly with no fuss.
it’s worth speaking to a human when you contact any company as there can be ways round getting better t’s & c’s.

I have packaged bank account wits nationwide. It's £13 a month and is joint a backcourt so covers me & hubby for worldwide travel insurance as well as breakdown cover & mobile phone insurance. When my daughter in full time education it covered her too, we do ring annually to declare any ore existing conditions but when I was diagnosed with BC and due to fly to New York days later said I was covered.
Also EHIC replaced with this GHIC
