Hi everyone, I'm looking for any advice or helpful tips to help me with Letrozole which i was prescribed on 11 May after a mastectomy for brest cancer. After the operation I thought I'd start to get my life back, but I've had this dry chest which started after 2nd month of taking Letrozo!e. Its making me feel miserable. I'm worried that i'm going to suffer with this chest for the next five years.
I did contact the cancer nurse at the hospital and explained my symptoms, but she had never heard of anyone with these side effects. She advised me to contact my GP, but before I do I wondered if anyone else has had problems with letrozole and a dry chest. I don't want to look stupid at the GP surgery. I am considering stopping the tablets for a month to see if this eases the dry chest. I'd be grateful for any advice or suggestions.
Thank you, any help would be welcome

Hi 3883 sorry to sound a bit thick, but when you say dry, do you mean breathing/cough wise? Or dry skin on your chest?
I think you mean breathing/cough! In which case, I would go and see your GP. Irrespective of whether it’s a common/known side effect, they should investigate to see what they can do to help you.
Just because a nurse has never heard of it, doesn’t mean it’s not something that needs checking out xx
