Do I need to ring support line if feeling bit rough with the above? Due 4th Chemo session on Wednesday. Jo x
Hi Gander
Just wanted to wish you good luck for tomorrow, I start Docetaxel today ,and not at all looking forward to these next 3
I sailed through the EC compared to others ( I think this was down to having a strong mind in making myself do things) but was told with this one to watch out for pins and needles in the hands and feet as it can cause nerve damage if not reported ,so hoping I don't suffer this one!
Hope the chesty cough gets better soon
Really hoping all goes well today - halfway is such a milestone. Hope your cough settles and that you are feeling OK in yourself.
I recall being nervous with change of chemo too - new side effects, new rhythm. Our bodies all react differently and its that wierd sense of deja vu of waiting to see what happens again. As always, the reality was way better than I imagined. I wore ice mitts and gloves to protect my nails and to prevent nerve damage. Although not the most comfortable, I have no nerve damage and my nails aren't too bad considering the 16 week blast of chemo. I needed one set of ice packs per hour of the infusion. Paclitaxel was a 3 hour infusion. I am not sure about docetaxel?
Hope today goes well for you x
Thank you for support. Ended up ringing helpline this morning. Advised me to get bloods done as planned, do a lateral flow test too. Ended up seeing Dr at the chemo centre, now got antibiotics to take plus my 8 steroids ready for tomorrow's chemo plus Herceptin. Feel like a druggie!! Lol. Jo x
Oh I do hope you feel better soon
yesterday went well and not as many drugs going through (just 2 anti sickness and the docetaxel) as with the Ec ,this morning I seem fine just more tired than when on EC but no other symptoms as yet
I have not as many drugs with this one just the injections from Thursday and Dexamethasone in which
I had to start 24 hrs before chemo twice a day for 6 days they have taken 4 lots of antisickness drugs away what I had with EC
and given me metoclopramid to take only if I do get Nausea
Hope all goes as well for you today GOOD LUCK
