I was just wondering if anyone else was feeling completely exhausted on kadcyla. I have completed 8 cycles and so far not too bad. This cycle has floored me.

  • Hi Maxwell3

i have just had my 11th kadcyla 4 days ago and surprisingly fine as had biphosphonate at same time. My 10th one floored me for nearly a week as in tiredness and weepy. We are all different. Maybe this was your exhausting one and you will be ok next time xx

  • Morning Hmfm,

thank you for your reply. This has really helped to spur me on. Well done for getting to cycle 11. I have been told that i am to have 12 cycles but must people are having 14. Not that i really want the extra two! I had six cycles of chemo and one Phesgo. I spoke to my oncologist and he said i could have the extra two cycles if i want. I was wondering how many cycles you are having? I will also mention about the biphosphonate. Hope yoir remaining treatments go well. Please keep in touch and let me know. Wishing you all the best. x

  • Morning

I am having 14 cycles so I’m nearly there. My last one is 8th June so I can’t wait!

it’s been a week since my last one and I get sore around a couple of fingernails each time but doesn’t last long.

im having a lie in this morning as I’m doing my first nightshift tonight in 14 months … I can leave early though if gets too much.

keep going and you will soon plough through the rest of them

    take care xx

  • Hi Hmfm,

thanks for the reply. I hope your night shift went ok and you weren’t too exhausted. The 8th of June is getting here - do you get to ring the bell? They have one where i get my treatment. I watched a man ring the bell a few weeks ago and it was really emotional. I didn’t even know the man but clapped and cheered him for his achievement.
Wishing you all the best. X

  • Just in from my nightshift and I survived, not too busy.

There is no bell where I get treatment and I think they have taken it away. To be honest I don’t think I ever liked the idea and wouldn’t do it. I always thought of the patients sitting near you or within the area who were getting treatment and knew they were not going to ring the bell. Hope I’m not morbid but I’ve seen the looks on peoples faces :(

But if it brings joy to some after all the treatment then I’m happy x
