After 2 years of not catching covid, despite cleaning it up in a hospital, & my last jab was last year in march .I have now caught covid.
I went out with me mum ,sister nephew on mother's Day,.
Caught it off me mum, my whole family is ill.
At the moment I have flu like pains,my joints expecially my legs hurt so much , temperature is normal, no chills, bit of a cold & headache
Feels like flu but not flu.
Like I have fibromyalgia but it's not it's covid .
I'm a bit shocked, supposed to have my picc line fitted this Friday & then chemo on Monday,
Thank goodness I have had surgery & at least one cycle of chemo, I've no idea how now my chemotherapy plan is going to go, I hope I don't get long covid.
Thanks
I am so sorry to read this.
There are so many cases of covid at the moment.
No one seems to bother wearing masks, I just don't understand it, "if" I was going out to a place with any people inside I would wear a mask - I just can't move forward fully with it yet. The best I can do is be outside and a distance away from others. Mother's Day we went to my sister - I could not make myself go inside, I go pulled apart by my brother-in-law for it 'oww you going to live like this forever' blar blar - my answer I'll move forward in my own time. (my sister and all of the family have had covid, brother-in-law had it without even knowing)..... so thank you, but, I'll stay outside for now.
The other thing is many are catching it and not having or showing symptoms for another 2 to 3 days.
Like you say thank goodness you have already had surgery - this is the main thing, the rest the hospital will work around. For now you need to rest and concentrate on getting you better.
My family are really careful, it's unfortunate that it happened to be positive.
I had bloods done at the hospital, all fine just covid.
I'm resting up now,
Thanks,
I tested positive on Sunday and I called 111, explained i was immunosuppressed and I was prescribed anti virals. It might be worth you calling 111 or your GP to ask about this. Hope you recover soon
Thanks, I went to acute and had bloods done which are all normal.
They sent me home to recover,
I just got a sore head & bad cold at moment, little sore throat.
X
