Hi guys.. Its been such a long time since I wrote on here..
My 1st breast cancer was 2002. Age 42.Grade 3 invasive (called triple negative now) I had everything thrown at me.. Surgery. Chemo. Radio.. I suffered for years with aches bones.. Got myself through it with doing race for life year after year..etc..
I worked in our local hospital..
In 2019 I had breast cancer again in the other breast.age59. Triple negative again.. This time I refused chemo.. As I was so poorly last time. I had surgery. Intense radiotherapy on the left side..
I am now in my 3year remission..
I have radiotherapy damage to my lungs which has give me breathing problems.. I had to retire early from nhs after 27years.... But on a good note.. Still here to fight again..
This is only part of my story.. There's highs and lows... Every one is different yet we all share the same thing.. We have survived
I've got triple negative invasive. Due to have chemo, surgery and radiotherapy. I'm going for mastectomy with reconstruction. You've been dealt a bad hand getting it in both breasts. I'm 66 so hope it doesn't come back. Your right we are survivors. Stay positive and look after yourself.
