Finally had my appointment come through for RT. Shame they didn’t bother to put the date and time on it.
The organisation and admin has been so stressful - this, no letter sent to my GP to get letrozole on repeat. Ive had to chase everything. It’s made me so stressed.
I sympathise. Hospital admin can be awful. They have no idea the stress that it causes. Perhaps an email or call to PALS may help?
Everything on the surgical side has been brilliant and well organised. Same hospital for oncology, not so much.
Yes, I think I can vaguely guess how having a date and time might be useful sometimes in such situations.... uncaring idiots! I would scan that letter and forward it to their Chief Executive, copy to PALS. As for the missing letter to the GP, I hope you are putting pressure on that!
While waiting for scans and test results has always been the worst for me, a close second has been having to chase things up, especially when I notice mistakes in my records that then take months to sort out, when I get contradictory information after scans and tests regarding what is going on inside my body, and when nurses consistently ignore my hospital-produced red allergy bracelet and try to administer exactly what I am allergic to. "Stress" is not always a strong enough word to describe it.
I spent several hours yesterday chasing various entities regarding my treatment. The only one who actually tried to help was my surgical breast care nurse, who has been superb throughout. I cannot praise her enough.
You are spot on with stress not being strong enough to describe it.

I had a call yesterday morning from my chemo nurse telling me I had an introduction appointment with her yesterday afternoon. Errmmm....nope, I didn't No phone call. No letter. She was phoning to bring it forward from 4pm to 1pm. She did actually manage to expedite my MRI appointment, though, after it had been chased by surgery nurses, the consultant surgeon and my oncologist. I know they are really busy catching up but there are some balls that shouldn't be dropped.
