Hello - this is my first post I wondered if anyone could advise me.
I had a lumpectomy and axillary lymph node clearance in August/ September and I have now had 4 weekly treatments of paclitaxel and during the last week or so I am experiencing a sharp pain in the side of my breast through to my back made worse by certain movements ie moving my arm backwards. Prior to the treatment I was pain free - is this normal during chemo or could I have somehow damaged something?
Thanks for yourhelp
I had chemo before lumpectomy so can't comment on that, but I did still have pain months after lumpectomy, It takes a while for the nerves to grow back and when they do they can be a bit painful. I went back to the arm exercises, which helped.
I still have a bit of breast pain at times and I had my operation in February.
Worth speaking to your oncologist or BCN about though.
