CT scans

Sounds like they want a scan every six months or so, but also it seems Covid may have affected this during the later part of 2020. This is just a guess, based on the the idea that if they had found anything in the last scan they wouldn't have left it for another seven months but would have called you back in for further investigations. The nurse should have explained that, and you are within your rights to call back and ask for clarification.

I wish at times we get to see the scans!!

You can ask. I have all of my scans up to a certain date on CD. I also tend to stand right over the doctor's shoulder and look at the scans as they appear on the screen, and if they are not on the screen and I want to see, I ask for them to be shown.

That said, the scans may hold little meaning unless you know what you are looking at, so if they appear on the screen and seem confusing or unclear, just ask the doctor to explain.
