Hi I'm 61 year old lady who has recently found a breast lump and my G.P has advised that I have an emergency appointment to have it looked at, I have some dumpling and discoloration so I'm very concerned about it. I have an appointment at a private hospital on the 5th of January (earliest appt they had) , but obviously want one NOW.!! I'm very scared I have to say but guess that's only natural.
I'm not sure if I should go back to work before my appointment as I've been off for last few days because I've been bit tearfully etc
Would appreciate some advice. Thankyou xx
The waiting is always the worst part of this scenario. Had I had a crystal ball at the time I would of gone private for the diagnosis then back to the NHS. I found NHS care excellent but the wait for diagnosis, biopsies etc went on and on. I realise not everyone can afford it but if u can do it I’d recommend it. Best wishes with your diagnosis. I’d go back work to stop your mind from over thinking xx
