Hi ive been diagnoised with breast cancer for the second time after 23yrs clear so i have had a mastectomy and reconsrution back in febuary of this year , i find this is very different for me from the first time as i see the scars everyday as a reminder. The hardest thing is the medication was on letrozole found that hard so put on exemestane which is proving to be worse for me the headches are like migrains , does anyone else feel like this on there meds as also im very emotional and have terrible fatique i will be grateful for any advice. are there places to meet up for us cancer patients too

  • Hi 23 years clear is brilliant but such a shame it came back.  I assume you've spoken to your doctor about the side effects. If you believe in homeopathy or are open to trying it I would try that.  I'm a big fan of homeopathy so it's what I would do but I know not everyone believes in it.  There was a lady I chatted to on here who found it helped her.

With regards to meet ups maybe have a look at Maggie's CLICK HERE

  • Hi there, sorry to hear your cancer has returned after so long.  You might want to have a chat with the Macmillan folks via the chat line on here, just to get some support and advice around dealing with your emotions as I think it helps to talk to people who know how to help. I'd also see if the cancer centre at your hospital can advise on local support groups.   This chat site is also a good place to engage with others going through the same things. I hope the side effects of the meds improve for you soon.
