I have a BRCA1 gene and have annual mri and mammogram.
Last week I received my mammogram results to say there were no signs of cancer but 2 days later I received a letter following my mri to say I need to go back in tomorrow for further tests. I called the breast nurse and she said there is an indefinite area in my left breast. I am absolutely terrified.
Has anyone else had this and received good news?
Morning Saz - I had a biopsy on a recent radiated breast (I had a lump on the other side they were looking at) as there was some change. It was nerve wracking but it was fat necrosis probably from previous treatment - the good thing is they check these things out properly. Hoping you have a similar outcome, lots of luck x
