Hello, has anyone had to have 18 Herceptin injections after their chemo treatment? Its all getting so confusing.
I agree Youhavegotthis it can get confusing. I felt the same as it wasn’t explained to me at the beginning how long the Herceptin would last. I’m about to have my last Herceptin injection though and the time has gone so much quicker than I expected.
Mine was just Herceptin. I didn’t have the joint ‘Phesgo’ jab but it has been recommended that I then try Neratinib for my HER2/ER+ diagnosis.
My treatment plan is like yours ...6 alongside chemo then 12 subsequently, to total 18 bouts
I am not sure what sort of products to avoid which oestrogen free, alcohol free (and whatever else free!)...I am paranoid now as Er+ trying to get the right shampoo, moisturisers, shower gel, toothpaste, or any other creams for chemo.
Any ideas anyone?
C x
Me too! Had dose 14, due to get number 15 on Thursday. This will be the 4th Phesgo. Before that got the herceptin & pertuzumab as separate infusions. I will finish in March. We are all different. For me this has been a doddle compared to EC &docetaxel chemo. I get some neck and face swelling between day 9-12, now mostly controlled by antihistamines. So worth it to keep the gremlin from coming back!
Good luck with your herceptin.
